Working in painting, video, and installation, Samantha Nye creates compelling dialogues between queer identity, mid-century references, and camp sensibilities. Nye’s newest paintings celebrate aging female and non-binary bodies–a subject long omitted from visual culture–tackling the often-overlooked problematics of ageism that dominates our society today.
